Blanka of Barcelona is a Gotz Signature Edition multi-jointed Happy Kidz doll with a little companion dog, all set for a stylish walk along Las Ramblas.

Blanka has striking long layered blonde highlights and mesmerising olive-grey eyes, almost hazel. She's tall at 50cm / 20" and slender, with a hard vinyl body and 9 multi-joints including an articulate head. 

She comes wearing a beige dress with a belt, long socks, black lace-up boots and a beige quilted hooded jacket.

Her grey and white dog wears a beige dog coat, perfectly coordinating with Blanka's look.

Her body is vinyl and as well as joints at the shoulders, hips and neck, her limbs have elbow and knee joints so that she easily participates in activities such as tap, ballet and horse-riding.

One of the consequences of having so many joints is that these dolls are not as inflexible as some other dolls therefore there is indeed a technique to posing them. The Happy Kidz body is modelled on a typical 10-11 year old girl.

Blanka is safety tested for children from age 3 but she's best suited to those age 6 and above, as her jointed vinyl body can be tricky to position for younger children.

Gotz moulds are designed with a degree of asymmetry to make dolls look more real as a reflection of the fact that in reality people are not symmetrical.
